The clothes, the walk, the smile, the hair, someone else's
life
Why care if you have to share, someone else's life?
Grass is green and angel sings, clothing fits and nothing
stings
Gone is fear of petty things, someone else's life
A single ticket for a trip, the way is lined with trash
The destination disappoints and whoops, you are out of cash
Who says one must face the facts? What a drag to be alone
Weave a tale on a massive scale, why let the truth be known?
No steamroller paves the way, someone else's life
Gone tomorrow, here today, someone else's life
Ever caught in a sticky lie? Once so bold, now
quite shy
Would I want to say goodbye to, someone else's life?
Take the wheel and plot a course, take a part in the parade
But keep one eye upon the horse, while dreams become unmade
In romance or in times of war people are so mean
My greatest love is still a whore on the silver screen
I know, ëcause I awoke in, someone else's life
Now's the time to go for broke in, someone else's life
Mountain breeze and starry nights, open arms and colored lights
Soaring heights and new delights in, someone else's life
Oh my God, don't you bother, for me, it is way too late
Self absorbed, an imitation, watch me now disintegrate
I wish I could, I wish I might take a pill and last all night
What looks much better in lower light and vanishes from sight?
I don't know how to pretend, someone else's life
Give it time, your heart won't mend, someone else's life
From back stage, it seems so cheap, some go through it all
asleep
Until I find one I can keep, someone else's life
Say the lines right, why care if it's, someone else's life?
Some parts crumble into bits, someone else's life
Let the critics spoil the play, someone else's life
But all the people love to pay for, someone else's life
Someone else's life, someone else's life, someone else's life.
