I know you've got only the best intentions
There comes a time when you've got to come out and say
What's on your mind, oh! for an ounce of prevention
Don't be
so sad and lonely, don't tell your troubles to me
Turn on your heels and walk away
Once you were making headline news
And you were the talk of the entire town
This is a real sad sorry case of the blues
But, I'll catch up with you on the rebound
What words have been said, and little begun
Except for the tears, what else left can be done?
Only 'til you feel some relief
For all you reveal, time is the thief
What I cannot give how can you receive
Don't be
so sad and lonely, don't tell your troubles to me...
Turn on your heels and walk away
One night I cried out a genuine scream
When will you see were both on the same team
The present case example simply has come to an end
With demerits for behavior I can't defend
I don't regret the day that we met
I wish I could say there's hope for us yet
I don't think you should look for me
Now, I know your side of the story,
Don't be
so sad and lonely, don't tell your troubles to me...
Turn on your heels and walk away.
