It is with great pleasure that I introduce THE MOT!VES PROJECT to the world. Emanating from NewYork City, this is hard hitting, yet jovial REGGAE that is influenced by jazz,rock and country music, yet completely unique. My good friend, Louie Fleck, produced this album. We first met in L.A. in 1984, when I joined his current band of that time. We hit it off immediately and began recording, writing and playing live, in numerous bands together. What has always impressed me about Louie is his ability to bring the right people together to make good music. It was on the strength of some ideas developed by Louie and I, that I aquired my first recording contract with BMG. Though I spent five years in Europe, we always remained in touch. Louie stayed in New York and developed a great band with solid musicians and two amazing singers. Milo is fantastic and his peppery vocals are tempered by the cool sweet voice of Rebecca Bolluyt. The song COWBOY impressed me so much, that I insisted on producing a remix. Listen to THE MOT!VES PROJECT... you will see what I mean!
